I have had children go through the school and love that they can start from nursery where they are nurtured and go up!

I think the teachers are doing an amazing job trying to help the children catch up with their education and emotionally since lockdown.

This school has everything and more any child would need. My daughter absolutely loves everything about this school, she particularly loves forest school, swimming and computing. She and I are very grateful that the school offers this on top of their standard curriculum. She is now in year 2 and is absolutely thriving! All the staff are nothing but kind and supportive, the staff that have taught my child so far have always gone above and beyond for their students. My youngest is in the pre-school room at Oyster Bay and again they also go above and beyond and I as a parent am sad that she is only going to have a year there as she loves every second of it, but also very excited for her to also join the reception at Joy Lane Primary School.

The extra curriculum clubs they have to offer are always run so well as are the breakfast and after school clubs. The organisation at the school is brilliant and they have everything down to a T, as a parent it makes me happy knowing my children are safe and happy at Joy Lane.

We have only been with Joy Lane for two terms. However, we have all been shown such kindness and support in the transition, it really has been lovely.

Class teachers always very welcoming.

Thank you for your hard work, Joy Lane is a fantastic school. If possible, please introduce back a cooking afterschool club, my son loved it and keep asking about it.

Great support in preparing children for secondary school with the way that classes are grouped/structured and rotated but feel more can be done to publicise Kent test option and secondary school application process.

I feel joy lane is a very safe and nurturing environment for all. Staff are incredible not only with the children but with parents/carers too. I am happy and satisfied with my child's progress and the fact you support nature too is an added bonus.

Transition into school was very good. The teachers spend the time getting to know the children before they even start. There were lots of opportunities for the children to get to know the class, teachers, and classmates. Class dojo is updated regularly, sharing the learning that is going on in the classroom and their achievements. All staff are kind and caring allowing the children to feel confident, comfortable, and safe. Since starting school my little boy has made incredible progress thanks to his class teacher challenging him effectively. The curriculum offered is broad and balanced with both forest school and swimming included. We are very happy with Joy Lane School.

I think Joy Lane is a great school. My child doesn't come to this school because I work here and it was easier, I loved everything I saw about Joy Lane when my child started here which prompted me to join the team. Joy Lane is everything I remember about primary school.

We love the open-door policy and how much the school value reading

My child did not start Joy Lane until year 3. Her confidence since joining the school has grown immensely which has had a profound impact on her learning capabilities and she has excelled in many areas.

My daughter is happy at school because she enjoys the wide range of enrichment offered.

The staff at this school go above and beyond to make it the very best for our children. A perfect mixture of fun, excellent teaching and learning and care for the child’s personal development. A massive thank you to you all, particularly to the Year 2 and 4 team for going above and beyond for our girls.

I’d also like to thank the kitchen team for providing a well varied diet for our children. They love the beef stew and teddy shaped biscuits really made their day on Friday!

This school has such a welcoming and family feel to it and we proud to send our girls here!

Great school, full of amazing and enthusiastic teachers who go above and beyond every day and install a love of learning. Always grateful for the huge range of activities that take place in the classroom but also after school clubs and groups, fundraising events and seasonal celebrations.

Joy Lane is a great school - we appreciate the focus on emotional well-being and find the staff very caring. Mrs Luckhurst runs her class very well; Miss Fuller has been great in helping my child with the Reception to Y1 transition. Thank you to all staff, especially in the mornings who welcome the children and families with a smile.

My daughter has settled in so well into Reception. All the staff have been so kind, caring and supportive. Her personal development, confidence and wonder at the world has really grown over the past two terms and she is very happy. Thank you.

Fantastic school with great facilities and amazing teachers. Both my children have been very happy throughout their time at Joy Lane. We couldn’t be happier with the school.
